Nutritional Guidelines For Living With Illnesses

Low-fat foods often have sugar added to enhance the flavor. If foods have very few calories, read the ingredients to see what was used as a substitute.

A key factor in nutrition is eating the proper balance of the three macronutrients: fat, protein and carbohydrates. Each macronutrient should be represented by a percentage of your diet - protein should be about 30%, carbs about 50% and fats, 20%. Your carbs should be healthy carbs and not sugar based ones.
